Tremont woman, Heidi Krupp, recognized by Cleveland police for saving unresponsive man

CLEVELAND - A Tremont woman was recently recognized by Cleveland police for helping save a man's life on June 19.

Police say Heidi Krupp found an unresponsive male on the sidewalk of Auburn Avenue and took action to help.

Krupp called police after she couldn't get the man to wake up and noticed he wasn't breathing.

When she was connected with an operator she followed directions to clear his airway until emergency crews arrived on the scene.

Police say if it weren't for Krupp the man may have not survived.
