Suspect turns himself in to police in connection with Cleveland home invasion of elderly couple

CLEVELAND - An arrest has been made in connection with a Cleveland home invasion and kidnapping of an 80-year-old woman.

Cleveland police say a man turned himself in to officers Thursday after photos were released to the public Wednesday. He is currently being held in the central prison unit awaiting charges.

On June 17, three men assaulted an 82-year-old man and his wife at their Victory Boulevard home, and threatened the couple with a gun.

The men restrained the husband with duct tape while kidnapping his 80-year-old wife. Police said the woman was later found in the trunk of the suspect's car.

The couple was taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Then on June 18, a man tried to use the victims' stolen credit card at a gas station at West 117th Street and Bellaire Road. Cleveland police said the man got out of the passenger's side of a Nissan Versa before attempting to use the credit card.
