The lead suspect in a West Virginia murder is now in custody in Cleveland but police are still looking for his alleged accomplice.
The U.S. Marshals announced Wednesday the arrest of 27-year-old Dallas Acoff.
He had been wanted in connection to a murder at a West Virginia bar.
Authorities say Acoff got into an argument outside the American Legion Bar in Wheeling, W.V. on Oct. 9 and then pulled out a gun and fired several shots. The victim died from injuries.
According to officials, Acoff and his alleged accomplice, Rocco Pandoli, had been traveling between Wheeling and Cleveland to avoid arrest.
During the investigation, officers learned that Acoff was hiding in an apartment complex near the 14000 block of Lakeshore Blvd. After several hours of surveillance, task force members saw a vehicle enter the complex that belonged to Acoff's sister. A man matching his description left the apartment and got into the car.
Officers identified the man as Acoff during a traffic stop near the intersection of East 140th Street and Eaglesmere Avenue.
He was transported to the Cuyahoga County Jail where he is awaiting extradition back to West Virginia.
Pandoli is still at-large and is believed to be in the Cleveland area.
