Suspect arrested in drive-by shooting that injured 7-year-old believed to be behind another shooting

CLEVELAND - Police have arrested a man they believe shot at a car Monday night, injuring a 7-year-old girl, who they believe may be involved in another shooting over the weekend.

Wesley Daley, 27, of Cleveland was arrested Wednesday night and has been charged with felonious assault.

The girl was in a car with her mother's boyfriend at a gas station at W.106th Street and Bellaire Road when he and another man got into an argument. As the victims drove away, the other man followed them and shot at the car, hitting the girl and her mom's boyfriend in their legs.

The girl was last listed in good condition at MetroHealth Hospital. The male victim was treated and released.

Police believe the man they arrested in connection with this shooting may have been involved in another shooting Sunday, when, after an argument, a man shot another man at W. 43rd Street and Clark Avenue.
