After a number of arrests the smash and grab has returned to Cleveland with a stolen van being used to punch a large hole into the front of the Tremont Convenience Food Mart in the 2600 block of West 14th Street.

Cleveland police at the scene said they believed the suspect or suspects stole cigarettes after smashing a large hole into the front of the building with a stolen minivan around 4 a.m. Tuesday.

The minivan was left in the parking lot with its engine running.

No word on the number of people or descriptions of those responsible.
