Thousands of protesters are expected in Cleveland for the Republican National Convention.

Cleveland police have said they're preparing for the worst, as groups across the state and across the country make plans to head to Cleveland.

Frank Kunstel, a member of Summit County Progressive Democrats, talked to NewsChannel 5 about his organization's plans.

"We are very worried about Donald Trump, that's what our message is," Kunstel said.

His group, Summit County Progressive Democrats, is made up of about 130 people. They're based in Akron, but Kunstel said they'll meet up with other groups coming to Cleveland.

"We're going to hook up with one or two other groups that have a larger umbrella," he said.

The group will join Stand Together Against Trump and protest with people from as far west as California and as far east as New York. Kunstel said they communicate and plan through Skype. They estimated up to five-thousand demonstrators in their city permit.

"I believe it's going to be big because of Trump. He's drawing people for and against him," he said.

Kunstel said his group is all about peaceful demonstration, but they're prepared for others who plan to cross that line.

"I think it's going to be chaotic. Nobody knows what going to happen. Police don't know, media don't know, the demonstrators don't know," he said.
