Reward offered by FBI for information that leads to Cleveland woman indicted for sex trafficking

CLEVELAND - The FBI in Cleveland is offering a reward to the person who can help them track down a woman they say prostituted a 15-year-old girl.

FBI agents said Chardee Barfield, 21, worked with Ernest McClain, 27, to make a 15-year-old girl their sex slave.

Both McClain and Barfield were indicted by a federal grand jury in Cleveland on Feb. 2. McClain is set to stand trial on April 9, but Barfield remains on the run.

Federal investigators said the duo took the teen from Ohio to Pennsylvania to engage in prostitution. While in Pennsylvania, the indictment said Barfield posted herself and the teen as available to participate in sex acts at local motels.

Authorities said Barfield also showed graphic images of the teen on an Internet website, advertising that the girl was willing. The FBI said Barfield even engaged in sexual activities with the teen.

The crimes reportedly happened from Oct. 1 to Dec. 5, 2011.

The FBI has continued to work with area police departments to find Barfield. Now, they're turning to you, hoping for a lead in where Barfield may be hiding out.

If you know where Barfield is, you can anonymously call the Cleveland FBI at 216-522-1400. The amount of the reward being offered for information that leads to Barfield is not known.
