LAKEWOOD, Ohio - The viral video of comedian Mike Polk Jr. yelling at a dark, empty Cleveland Browns Stadium has been viewed more than a half-million times.
After the Cleveland Browns latest loss, the video remains relevent.
At one point in the video Polk yelled, "Do you understand that it is actually statistically harder for a team to be this consistently bad then it is for them to ocassioanally, accidentally be good." He then punctuated the statement by screaming, "The probability is staggering!"
Talking to NewsChannel5 about Sunday's 13 to 12 loss to the St. Louis Rams -- which involved a botched 22-yard field goal with just over 2 minutes left in the game -- Polk said he was numb.
"I felt nothing. I couldn't have been less surprised," he said. "It always amazes me that we find these fantastic, really creative ways to lose football games and last night was no exception."
Polk also jokingly apologized to Browns long-snapper Ryan Pontbriand, saying he feared wearing Pontbriand's #64 jersey in the video rant may have cursed the Browns lineman.
It was Pontbriand's bungled snap that started the missed kick play which could have won the game for the Browns.
Polk said he's been a fan of Pontbriand and his "long-snappin" since the Browns drafted him.
"It's unfortunate that's how it went down yesterday. I can't think of him making a mistake before," Polk said. "If I cursed Ryan Pontbriand then I really do apologize --I'm sorry Ryan, totally my bad."
Replays show the snap in question glanced off fellow lineman Alex Mack's leg before placekicker Phil Dawson booted the attempt wide to the left.
Despite the recent losses, Polk said he will be at the next game against the 3-6 Jacksonville Jaguars.
"I've got these tickets, it's not like I can sell them, I guess I'll just keep going," said Polk.
