Cleveland is receiving national praise for how the city and police handled the Republican national convention, ABC's Robin Roberts tweeting "kudos to the great city of Cleveland! Wonderful host for #RNC"

Jen Kramer with Destination Cleveland, which promotes tourism and conventions, said all of this positive press is priceless.

"We knew we were prepared to host this convention, it's what we've been talking about, it's what we've been planning for, but when it actually happened, we were so impressed with how all the  community came together,” Kramer said.

A smoothly operated Convention inside and outside of the Q, a new convention center, and downtown's revitalization is already attracting convention bookings for 2020.

Because Cleveland shined brightly in the national and international spotlight, Kramer predicts more convention planners will want to host their conventions in Cleveland.

"When you get a convention of this magnitude it really turbocharges that, the requests are going to come in, our leads are going to increase so much, and now people know we can host, and not just host a Convention, but host an amazing convention,” Kramer said.
