Police investigating after woman found dead inside of an East Cleveland apartment building

EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio - Police are investigating after a woman was found dead inside of an East Cleveland apartment building.

Officers received a call around 4:22 p.m. Tuesday reporting that a woman was dead inside of an apartment located in the 15600 block of Euclid Avenue.

When officers arrived, the victim, who is in her early 60’s, was found unresponsive. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner was called in and announced Carolyn Booker dead at the scene. The Medical Examiner has labeled Booker’s death as a suspected homicide.

Police said Kenneth Booker, 59, was arrested in the victim's death. He's locked up in jail on an aggravated murder charge.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) assisted East Cleveland Police with the investigation.
