CLEVELAND - Local police departments are benefiting from a massive drug bust.
A news conference is planned for Wednesday where the FBI, U.S. Attorney and U.S. Marshals will distribute $3.6 million to local police departments. The money was seized after busting one of Ohio's largest heroin distribution rings.
In the takedown, more than $1 million in cash was recovered. A 43-carat diamond was also seized.
The police departments receiving the funds include Cleveland, Shaker Heights, Cleveland Heights, Canton, Twinsburg and Euclid.
