CLEVELAND - Police are urging residents and tenants to lock up, after a string of thefts throughout the region.
In Cuyahoga County, Cleveland Heights police recently posted to their department's Facebook page that they have seen an increase in overnight thefts from parked vehicles in the city.
Of late, the thefts have been happening on the west end of town in the Roxboro and Fairmount areas.
Officers said GPS units, computers, cash, and other valuables have been reported stolen.
They now encourage all motorists to remember when you "park it, lock it."
In Lake County, Eastlake police recently posted to their department's Facebook page that detectives are investigating a home burglary.
Officers said on Friday, Nov. 2 they took a theft report for a breaking and entering after someone pried their way into a vacant rental home on Parkway Drive and stole a refrigerator.
