Newest Cuyahoga county library to open in Parma

5th of 6 new libraries being built

PARMA, Ohio - The newest branch of the Cuyahoga County Library (CCPL) will open on Saturday, October 26. The ceremonial ribbon cutting for the new 43,000 square-foot facility will begin at noon.

The branch, located at 6996 Powers Blvd., replaces the Parma-Ridge (5850 Ridge Road) and Parma-South (7335 Ridge Road) branches of CCPL.

Features of the new Parma branch include:

  • A wide selection of books, dvds, cds and other materials.
  • A full service drive-up window.
  • A technology learning center where CCPL will host free computer training classes
  • An interactive children's play, learn and grow space featuring artwork from the books of award-winning author Rosemary Wells.
  • A state-of-the-art interactive tech wall.
  • Public computer stations with high-speed internet access.
  • Community meeting spaces.

The grand opening celebration will feature a variety of family-friendly activities, including snacks, live music, free photo booths, and Perla Homemade Delight's pierogies.

Following the grand opening celebration, the branch will remain open to the public until 5:30 p.m.
