Multiple Cleveland police officers have been involved in a crash on Interstate 90.
CLEVELAND - Two Cleveland police officers were taken to the hospital after their cruiser was struck while they were helping another driver on I-90 Friday morning.
The incident happened in the westbound lanes near the Lakeshore Boulevard on-ramp just before 11 a.m.
Cleveland police said the officers were helping a broken-down car when a 71-year-old man driving a white pickup truck struck their police cruiser from behind.
The two police officers were taken to Euclid Hospital for treatment. Both reported having back injuries.
The 71-year-old man was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. The extent of his injuries has not been released.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
