Men strike suspected dirt bike robber with cars on E. 189th in Cleveland

CLEVELAND - A man is in critical condition after two brothers, who suspected him of stealing their dirt bike, struck him with their cars.

Police said Alfonso Trail III, 28, and his brother Aaron J. Trail, 24, were robbed of a dirt bike at 18817 Garden Blvd. After the robber left, the two went after him in their cars.

They found him near 4265 E. 189th Street with the bike, police said, and both struck the suspect with their cars.

When police arrived on scene, the suspect, who has not yet been identified, was taken to MetroHealth Hospital with spinal injuries and brain swelling, where he is listed in critical condition. Police describe him as a black male between 17 and 22 years old.

The Trail brothers were arrested and charged with felonious assault.

A loaded handgun was found on the scene, but police have not determined who had it.
