A man was stabbed to death early Sunday morning on West 6th Street and Frankfurt Avenue.
An officer who was working a secondary job saw 22-year-old Chandler Appling and 24-year-old Stefon Robinson in a parking lot on West 6th Street. Appling had his hands in the air when Robinson allegedly stabbed him in the chest and stomach, according to Cleveland police.
Robinson ran from the scene, and the officer caught him when he tripped and fell. He was taken into police custody and a knife was recovered at the scene.
EMS arrived and took Appling to MetroHealth Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.
