CLEVELAND - Police say a man was killed in a shooting on Cleveland's east side Thursday morning.
The 24-year-old victim, who was shot on East 38th Street near Longwood Avenue, was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle and died just after 2 a.m., according to officers.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Kenyahta Steel, of Cleveland.
Police said the preliminary investigation reveals that a group of men were in the 2500 block of E. 38th Street, when the victim and suspect began to argue. During the argument, the suspect produced a handgun and shot the victim twice in the torso, according to officers.
Police searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect.
