WEWS crews will be in field, following the happenings on the final day of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

Cleveland Chief of Police Calvin Williams was absent from the briefing to attend to Public Square.

There was a minor amount of protest activity today. No arrests were made Thursday.

There were reports of officers being stabbed with syringes during protests, these reports were false. No officers were injured by syringes today, but syringes were added to the banned list as a precaution.

Two officers were treated on the scene for skin irritation. One of the officers irritation is thought to be from a sticker with an unknown substance placed on his arm. The officials advised that if someone received a sticker from a stranger they should throw them away.

Officials also reported that there were two flag burning incidents yesterday. Both happened near each other. One of the suspects was charged with assault for injuring others while burning the flag.

There were no reports of people using other's credentials to get into the secure zone, despite rumors.

The officials also noted the overwhelming support for law enforcement during the RNC and expressed their gratitude.

10 a.m. City of Cleveland briefing

City officials advised anyone taking to the streets for the final day of the RNC to bring plenty of water.

9:30 a.m. GOP briefing

Paul Manafort, Trump's campaign manager, said the theme for the final day of the RNC is "Make America #1 Again," and the night's speeches would focus on unification of the party, Trump's vision and program. Ivanka Trump will introduce the nominee around 10 p.m. 

Today's speeches would also focus on current affairs, city crises and terrorism across the world. 

Manafort said the campaign is pleased with Gov. Mike Pence's speeches and the overall message of the Convention. He said the main messaging has involved attacks on the Obama and Clinton administrations, one which have resonated well with the base. 

According to Manafort, the Trump campaign will have a strong presence in Philadelphia for the Democratic National Convention. He said they'll be able to directly address the allegations of DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-shultz that implied antisemitism and racism of Trump's campaign. 

8:45 a.m.

Julie Leroy, a woman who was allegedly involved in the burning of an American flag in downtown Cleveland on Wednesday, pled guilty in court. She received a personal bond.
