CLEVELAND - The preliminary results from kidnapping and rape suspect Ariel Castro's DNA swab have been given to police.
The Bureau of Criminal Investigation worked the DNA overnight and handed the results over to the Cleveland Police Department early Friday morning.
The DNA samples were run checking for matches to other cases. The paternity results are also in for Amanda Berry's daughter, Jocelyn.
Results of the tests and DNA have not yet been released.
Castro is being held in jail on $8 million bond under suicide watch. Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Tim McGinty said he will evaluate seeking the death penalty against Castro.
