CLEVELAND - Family and friends of Aliza Sherman are holding another rally May 30 to promote awareness of her brutal murder and to ensure safety in downtown Cleveland.
The Justice for Aliza rally will gather in front of the Cleveland Police Department, located at 1300 Ontario St., at noon.
"Law enforcement has indicated that the rest of the public is not in danger, yet the perpetrator of this monstrous crime is still at large," organizers said. They want to "secure the safety of the public and to demand that Aliza's killer be found and brought to justice."
The Justice for Aliza campaign was established after the mother and former Cleveland Clinic nurse was attacked and killed on March 24 in broad daylight near the Galleria at Erieview Mall after seeing her divorce attorney.
A reward up to $25,000 is still being offered to anyone who has information leading to an arrest of the person or persons responsible for the crime.
On April 9, the first Justice for Aliza rally was held in conjunction with Crime Stoppers. Earlier this month, on Mother's Day, a community walk and balloon launch was held in remembrance of Sherman's life and to keep the ongoing murder investigation alive. More then 300 people attended.
