June lowest revenue month for Horseshoe Casino Cleveland since opening in 2012

CLEVELAND - Revenue figures released for June show the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland brought in $17 million after all bets were paid. It’s the lowest full monthly total since the casino opened its doors in May 2012.

The Horseshoe was down $2.3 million from June 2013 or 12 percent. The casino was down $2.46 million from May or 12.6 percent.

Cleveland’s Horseshoe still remained the leader among Ohio’s four casinos in June with Hollywood Columbus bringing in $15.9 million after all bets were paid, Hollywood Toledo bringing in $15.4 million and Horseshoe Cincinnati $15.2 million. Of the four, only Hollywood Toledo was up over last June and that was marginal.

Both ThistleDown Racino and Hard Rock Rocksino were down in June compared to May in video lottery terminal (VLT) revenue.

ThistleDown, which announced last month they were staying in North Randall, brought in $9.7 million in VLT play after all winners were paid in June. That was down 5.5 percent from last year and 8 percent from May.

Hard Rock Rocksino's revenue figure was $14.38 million, down $1.7 million or 10.6 percent from May.
