The Leather Stallion Saloon, Cleveland's oldest gay bar, is re-thinking its security after a mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando left more than four dozen people dead Sunday.

"I just have to stay vigilant," said Michael Dominguez, the manager of the saloon. "We're going to have to be more guarded with regards to the convention."

Dominguez said he worries about being a target during a global event such as the Republican National Convention, which will be held in Cleveland in July. And he worries about not having enough security for patrons.

"That's what kind of scares me in a way," he added.

Presently, the saloon has one security guard and multiple security cameras. In light of the Orlando shooting, Dominguez wants to add more security guards.

"This is a space I feel comfortable in and nothing like that will stop me from enjoying myself within those walls," said Michael Parker, a patron of the saloon.

Parker said he didn't think twice about showing up at the saloon Sunday night, no matter the level of security or the mass violence in the LGBT community.

But he and others say they still feel the hatred.

"I think a number of people like to think that we won a Supreme Court battle, we can now get married, everything is wonderful," added Parker. "There is still a lot of discrimination."

The saloon held a moment of silence Sunday night for the victims of the mass shooting in Orlando. They also lit candles.
