Huntington Bank, Salvation Army team up to help students in need

CLEVELAND - The Salvation Army and Huntington National Bank are joining forces to provide students with school supplies and backpacks.  

Huntington's Back-To-School drive kicks off Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Salvation Army 's Ohio City facility on Clark Road in Cleveland.

Cleveland Indians mascot, Slider, and the Cleveland Cavaliers mascot, Sir CC, will be on-site to help distribute more than 1,700 backpacks to students in need.

The school supplies will be divided evenly amongst the six Salvation Army Corps Centers that serve the Cleveland-area, along with Lorain, Painesville, and Elyria.
