CLEVELAND - The Horseshoe Casino Cleveland posted a slight jump in July revenue taking in $19.8 million after all bets were paid for the month, which is about a 2.7 percent jump over June according to Ohio Casino Control Commission figures.
Table games accounted for $8.1 million of that, up .7 percent, slots $11.7 million up four percent.
In July, 2012 the Horseshoe took in $23.9 million during its second full month of operation.
The July slots figure near equal to the record $11.4 million posted by ThistleDown Racino in July. The figure released by the Ohio Lottery represents a $1.1 million or 11 percent jump over June and marks the racino's best month since opening in April.
The combined slots take between the two Rock Ohio Caesars properties of $23.1 million represents the biggest single slots month in Northeast Ohio since gambling began, up over the previous high of $22.5 million in May. showing while slots customers continue to discover ThistleDown, the slots market continues to grow.
ThistleDown also continuing its streak of months where the racino has won more than $300 per machine, per day with July's figure coming in at $327. The Horseshoe by comparison brought in daily winnings per machine of $204.
July also was the biggest month for both properties when it came to promotional slots play. With the Horseshoe offering $6.2 million in free play, from June's high of $3.7 million. ThistleDown also offering a record $5.1 up from $4.7 in June.
The Horseshoe Cleveland continues to be the industry revenue leader with its $19.8 million up over the $19.2 million posted for July by its sister property Horseshoe Cincinnati. The two Hollywood properties in Columbus and Toledo posted adjusted gross revenue figures of $17.4 and $15.4 respectively.
