WEB EXCLUSIVE: Get your first look inside the new Hard Rock Rocksino at Northfield Park.
CLEVELAND - Getting into and out of downtown Cleveland has not been easy this week. The closing of the West Shoreway for two weeks has made the commute a little more taxing to say the least.
In an attempt to lure gamblers downtown the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland will be offering free parking for the rest of June after 6 p.m. when there is not a major event downtown.
"Movie making, great restaurants, entertainment. There's a lot to experience downtown right now, so we're encouraging Northeast Ohioans to join the fun," Horseshoe PR manager Shannon Mortland said in an email.
"When guests self-park at the Collection Auto Group Centre and the Horseshoe's parking lot across from the Renaissance Hotel, they can park for free after 6 p.m. (except days when there's a major event downtown). All they have to do is show their Total Rewards card upon exiting those two parking areas," said Mortland.
Since it opened its doors last year, free parking was only provided to Total Rewards customers who gambled for 30 minutes or more at the casino.
