CLEVELAND - Horseshoe Casino is celebrating the return of football on Sunday, Sept. 1 with the Ultimate Cleveland Tailgate party on Public Square.
The party starts at 11 a.m. and will feature live bands, food, beer and tailgate games. It is for adults 21 and over with a valid ID. The food and beer must be purchased. The party ends at 10 p.m.
The casino will also give away prizes every half hour from noon to 5 p.m.
$1 million cash will be given out, which is part of the casino's $3 million summer giveaway. This is the final of three giveaways and will be announced inside the casino and on the stage in Public Square at 9 p.m.
Five former Cleveland Browns players will be on hand to sign autographs and take photos with guests. They include Hanford Dixon, Dan Fike, Bob Golic, Greg Pruitt and Felix Wright.
The following is a schedule of events:
11 a.m.: Tailgate party begins on Public Square
11 a..m. to 2 p.m.: Shout band on stage
Noon to 5 p.m.: Grand Prize Giveaway every half hour
3-6 p.m.: Cleveland's Breakfast Club on stage
5-7 p.m.: Former Cleveland Browns players will sign autographs and take photos with guests
7 p.m.: Hidden jackpot drawing
7-10 p.m.: Rumplestiltskin band on stage
9 p.m.: Third winner of the $3 million summer giveaway announced in casino and on outdoor stage. Drawing will also be simulcast to ThistleDown.
