CLEVELAND - A 22-year-old woman and her 5-month-old baby are in the hospital after they were hit and pinned by a car on E. 118th Street Thursday around 1:15 p.m.
According to Cleveland police, a male and female driving a Jeep Cherokee, at a high rate of speed, hit the two pedestrians as the car turned onto E. 118th.
A witness, who heard the crash, told police after the crash occurred the two people in the Jeep fled on foot.
Surveillance video shows the suspects returning to the scene to help a small crowd push the Jeep off of the victims before disappearing from the scene once again.
Police say the male involved has turned himself into police in connection with the accident. Police are still searching for the female involved.
Friday morning, 22-year-old Myishea McGlothin was at MetroHealth Medical Center in critical condition and 5-month-old Mykell McGlothin was at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in stable condition, according to police.
