CLEVELAND - Hundreds of worshipers took time out of their day to attend Good Friday services at St. John's Cathedral in downtown Cleveland Friday afternoon.
Good Friday is observed primarily by Christians commemorating the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.
Bishop Richard Lennon of the Diocese of Cleveland presided over the service. After reading the Gospel that describes the events leading up to the death of Jesus, Bishop Lennon delivered the sermon that reflected on the events of the past and their relevance to Christians today.
Bishop Lennon will also celebrate Easter Vigil service at 9:25 p.m. on Saturday and Easter Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
