A former MetroHealth Medical Center executive was arrested Tuesday morning by the FBI.
Chief Operating Officer Edward Hills was arrested and indicted along with three others in connection with a racketeering scheme.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, the four men were involved in several bribery conspiracies involving hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Hills was indicted on charges including: racketeering in corrupt organizations, conspiracy; conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act bribery; conspiracy to commit honest services and money and property mail and wire fraud; money and property mail fraud; conspiracy to solicit, receive, offer and pay health care kickbacks; receipt of kickbacks in connection with a federal health care program; conspiracy to obstruct justice and tamper with witnesses; false statements on tax returns.
Also listed in the indictment were Sari Alqsous, Yazan Al-Madani and Tariq Sayegh.
