On Monday, Forbes identified Cleveland as a U.S. city with an emerging downtown area . Fifteen cities were named including Denver, Detroit, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Atlanta.
The article cites Cleveland's Medical Mart and convention center slated for a summer opening, as well as a total $3.5 billion being invested in the area's redevelopment. Specific projects named include the move of the Cuyahoga County Administrative Headquarters, aquarium and proposed skate park.
The Forbes piece also cited the near-doubling of Cleveland's downtown population between 1990 and 2010.
