CLEVELAND - Family members of Anthony Sowell murder victims have filed an appeal to a lawsuit against Cleveland police.
Tuesday morning, family members of murder victims Tonia Carmichael and Nancy Cobbs held a news conference with their attorney at the Imperial Avenue crime scene.

The lawsuit was originally filed in May 2012 in federal court, but was ruled frivolous.
Now, family members are moving forward with their appeal, filed with the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals
