BEACHWOOD, Ohio - A community walk for Aliza Sherman, the mother and former Cleveland Clinic nurse brutally murdered in broad daylight, will take place on Sunday.
The community walk and balloon launch will begin at 3 p.m. in Beachwood at Penshurst Drive across from Hilltop Elementary School. Parking will be available at the school, which is located at 24524 Hilltop Dr. Event organizers said the walk and balloon launch is stroller and pet-friendly.
The walk will end at Sherman's former place of employment, the Cleveland Clinic on Cedar Road.
Organizers of the walk ask participants to arrive no later than 2:45 p.m. to get a T-shirt and balloon.
The walk is to remember Sherman's life, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, friend, nurse and animal lover. It's also to help promote awareness and justice.
Meanwhile, a $25,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the person who murdered the mother of four.
Sherman was stabbed to death outside her divorce attorney's office on March 24 in downtown Cleveland. Surveillance video released showed a person of interest running from the scene, but the video wasn't clear enough to see any facial features.
