Cleveland State student assaulted on campus by three teens

CLEVELAND - Cleveland State University officials are warning students after a student says he was assaulted.

The incident happened at about 2 p.m. on Thursday when three teens took a student's book bag, Cleveland State said. The suspects then crossed through Central Cadillac and headed near East 28th Street.

The three suspects were in their mid-teens, and all were wearing plain black and white shirts.

Students can call 216-687-2020 for Cleveland State's safety escort service. The university also said students should walk with a friend, and avoid texting or talking on the phone while walking on campus.
