CLEVELAND, Ohio - Still no arrests have been made3 in a violent home invasion and attack on a couple in their 80s.
Cleveland police said 82-year-old Richard Kovachik heard a knock at his door on Victory Boulevard on Cleveland's west side just before 11:30 p.m. on Monday.
When Kovachik opened the door, several men wearing hooded sweatshirts burst inside beating him with a gun.
After emptying purses, the invaders abducted 80-year-old Margaret Kovachik, forcing her into the trunk of her Chevrolet Malibu.
Cleveland police contacted the woman's bank, which showed someone tried to use her ATM at a gas station at East 83rd Street and Carnegie Avenue.
Police found the car nearby and Kovachik was still in the trunk, but she was injured.
Both victims are being treated at Fairview Hospital.
Neighbors said the couple has lived in the neighborhood for nearly 60 years and volunteer at the Blessed Trinity Church, where they are described as very kind people always helping others.
