CLEVELAND - The unsolved murder of a 30-year-old Cleveland woman found strangled to death in 1994 is receiving renewed attention from detectives.
NewsChannel5 has learned Cleveland police are actively investigating the murder of Pamela Pemberton.
Police would not say if there is a person of interest in the case or what prompted the new investigation. Pemberton's sister told NewsChannel5 that the FBI contacted her a few weeks ago and told her that they were investigating some crimes in the neighborhood that may lead to some new information in her sister's murder case.
Pemberton was last seen leaving a neighborhood bar in October 2004. Three children stumbled upon her naked body in a vacant lot on West 11th Avenue near Clark Avenue.
