Cleveland police catch bank robbery suspect before he leaves Charter One branch on Harvard Avenue

CLEVELAND - Cleveland police officers arrested a bank robbery before he ever made it out of the Charter One branch on Thursday.

Officers were called to the Charter One Bank on Harvard Avenue at about 11:20 a.m. Police said they saw the man matching the suspect's description inside the bank, pacing back and forth.

Sergeant Dean Graziolli, Patrol Officer Nelvyn Mauldin and Patrol Office Timothy Hannon went into the bank and order the robber to the floor. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

According to Cleveland police, the suspect passed a demand note to a teller. He was wearing a hard hat and had dread locks, which both turned out to be part of his disguise.
