CLEVELAND - A big pot growing operation in Cleveland is now shut down.
On Friday morning, Cleveland police officers executed a search warrant at 5718 Harvard Ave.
Inside, officers found a large marijuana growing operation. That led investigators to Broadview Heights, where officers made one arrest.
Steven Schiff is due in court Monday morning. Police found Schiff with several pounds of marijuana, $15,000, and gun.
According to police, the operation handled the whole process, from growing seedlings to packaging the marijuana for sale. Investigators said the equipment was high end and included motorized track lighting that moved from side to side continuously delivering the light needed for quickened growth.
More than 800 marijuana plants were confiscated. As the result of the search of the above two locations, information was developed and several high powered weapons were seized on Cleveland's eastside by narcotics detectives.
