Cleveland Plain Dealer scaling down home delivery to three days a week

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Plain Dealer announced Thursday it is cutting home delivery of the paper to three days a week, including Sunday, beginning late this summer.

A print edition will still be available seven days a week and anyone with a three-day home delivery subscription will also have access to a seven-day e-edition.

The company said in a news release posted to its website that it is a "new, digitally focused company to drive innovation," which will go by the name Northeast Ohio Media Group.

Terry Egger, Plain Dealer President, said staffing decisions have not yet been finalized and the planning process should be completed this summer.
