Ubaldo Ocasio, Jr., a Cleveland minister who sexually abused young girls in his congregation, has been sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison, according to Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Tim McGinty.

On Thursday, Ocasio was convicted by a jury on one count of rape, six counts of gross sexual imposition, six counts of kidnapping, two counts of sexual battery, and four counts of endangering children.

After the jury found that Ocasio was a sexually violent predator, he was sentenced to life in prison by Cuyahoga County Common Please Court Judge Shirley Strickland Saffold. Ocasio will be eligible for parole after 128 years.

He will be required to register as a Tier III sexual offender for the rest of his life.

The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office said between 2011 and 2013, Ocasio sexually molested and raped four girls who were parishioners of Iglesia Misionera Casa de Misericordia, a Pentecostal church near Cleveland's west side where Ocasio was the pastor. The victims ranged in age from 11 to 16 and were assaulted in numerous locations including a church van, a church basement, and in one of the children's homes.
