CLEVELAND - A Cleveland police officer is out of the hospital after being struck while directing traffic downtown.
Cleveland police posted to the department's Faceobok page that someone struck a traffic controller Tuesday as he patrolled an intersection with nonfunctioning traffic lights.
Officers tell NewsChannel5 the crash happened on Ontario Street near the Horseshoe Casino.
Paramedics took the officer to a nearby hospital where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries and released.
No arrests have been made in the accident.
Police urge all motorists to treat all powerless traffic lights and intersections as four-way stops.
