Cleveland needs your votes to beat Knoxville as host city of 2012 Social Media Tourism Symposium

CLEVELAND - Cleveland already beat Kansas City, moving our city on to round two as the potential host site for the 2012 Social Media Tourism Symposium. Now, your votes are needed to help CLE get past Knoxville.

What is #SoMeT12? It's a conference that will be held Nov. 7-9 at a location determined by you. We're hoping it'll be Cleveland.

What makes the conference unique is that it's all based on the involvement of attendees throughout the entire process. You have a voice in everything from the location to the session topics and presenters.

The symposium will consist of a combination of destination marketing organizations, hotels, resorts, attractions and any other tourism related entities sharing ideas and learning more about how social media is effecting promotion within the travel industry.

Cleveland is ahead of Knoxville in votes as of this post on SoMeT12s Facebook page, but that can all change if you don't cast your vote for Cleveland.

Help show Knoxville Cleveland is most worthy of hosting the conference. You can vote for Cleveland by following this link:

You can only vote once and voting ends at 11:59 p.m.

The inaugural symposium, which hosted 110 attendees, was held in 2010 in Loudoun County, Virginia. The second conference hosted 183 in Tunica, Mississippi.
