CLEVELAND - A 52-year old Cleveland man, Nathaniel Woods, will spend the rest of his life in prison for killing a 23-year old Cleveland woman.
Judge Michael Astrab sentenced Woods to life in prison without the possibility of parole on Friday for causing the death of Kimberly Bolton.
It was on Dec. 14, 2011, that prosecutors said Woods killed Bolton at his home on Edna Avenue, then burned her body near an abandoned house on Bayliss Avenue. Cleveland police were able to identify Bolton through fingerprints. Five days later, a warrant was issued for Woods and he was arrested the same day on Elmwood Avenue in Cleveland.
A jury found Nathaniel Woods guilty of one count of aggravated murder, one count of gross abuse of a corpse, and one count of tampering with evidence on November 15, 2012 after an 11-day trial.
