A Cleveland firehouse was struck by gunfire around 3 p.m. Monday.
The Cleveland Fire Department said Firehouse #36 on East 131st Street at Union Avenue was hit Monday afternoon, but it wasn't noticed until later.
Gunshots were heard in the area, but nothing was seen according to Cleveland Fire.
The department said the bullet went through the door, into a fire truck, and hit the window of an aerial ladder. It did not shatter, but it did crack.
It is currently unknown where the gunfire came from.
The Accident Investigation Unit was contacted.
