CLEVELAND - Cleveland firefighters responded to an early morning house fire Sunday that left one man dead.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 643 East 160th around 7:55am for a two-story house on fire.
According to Cleveland Fire spokesman Larry Gray, the fire is believed to have started on the first floor of the home.
One male was found deceased in the home. It is unknown what caused the man's death at this time, but it appeared he lived alone. His name and age have not yet been released.
There were no working smoke detectors inside of the home at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
This is Cleveland's first fatal fire for the 2013 year.
