CLEVELAND - 10:03 p.m. UPDATE: Cleveland was down by about 1,000 votes for polling closed at 10 p.m.
Cleveland is one of three remaining cities battling for the 2013 Social Media Tourism Symposium.
Last week, Positively Cleveland beat Visit St. Pete/Clearwater by more than 400 votes to advance to the final four for the "SoMeT" conference.
The Social Media Tourism Symposium brings in more than 200 representatives from hotels, resorts and attractions across the country. Now in its fourth year, the conference is a place to share ideas about using social media to promote the travel industry. It is also expected to bring in $250,000 in economic impact to the host city.
In 2012, Cleveland lost in the final vote between El Paso, Texas during a campaign that had even Iron Chef Michael Symon tweeting his support. If our city wins this round, we'll fight Missoula, Montana for the conference.
Voting on runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday as Cleveland takes on Huntsville, Alabama. Vote at http://facebook.com/SoMeTourism
