CLEVELAND - City of Cleveland outdoor pools were officially opened for the summer season Saturday as Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, city officials, community members and children gathered for the occasion at the Lonnie Burten Pool.
As part of the pool season kick-off, a special balloon ribbon cutting was held to unveil a new water slide and play area at the Lonnie Burten Pool.
All outdoor pools will be open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 7:30 p.m.
In addition, outdoor pools will be open whenever it is 85 degrees or higher and city spray basins will be opened when it is 80 degrees or higher.
There are no charges or admission fees for any City of Cleveland pool, spray basin or recreational program.
