The slain Cleveland teen whose body was found just a few days after she was reported missing late last month suffered blunt force injuries and was stabbed to death, court records revealed Tuesday.

Christopher Whitaker is accused of kidnapping and killing Alianna DeFreeze Jan. 26 and taking her to a home, located at 9412 Fuller Avenue. DeFreeze, 14, was reported missingafter she failed to attend school at E Prep & Village Prep. She was last seen exiting an RTA bus at East 93rd Street and Kinsman.

DeFreeze died as a result of blunt force trauma and stabbed wounds, according to Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court records. The girl was abducted by Whitaker from E. 93rd and Carton Avenue to have sexual relations at the home on Fuller Avenue, the documents said.

Whitaker, 44 of South Euclid, was indicted on charges of aggravated murder, rape, aggravated burglary, tampering with evidence and gross abuse of a corpse Monday afternoon.

The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office told News 5 they will seek the death penalty in the case.

He was arrested earlier this month at the Villa Serena Apartments in Mayfield Heights.

Evidence from the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office played a major role in arresting Whitaker, police said.

Whitaker is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
