Shooting, carjacking suspect given $200K bond

A man suspected of several carjackings and connected to an officer-involved shooting was arraigned in court and given a large bond, according to the Millcreek Police Department. 

Millcreek police went to Millcreek Community Hospital on Monday for a report of a shooting victim needling medical treatment. 

Once there, officers learned the victim was suspected of being involved in several carjacking incidents in Cleveland and was shot during one of the incidents when confronted by police.

The victim, identified as 26-year-old DeShawn Tye, of Cleveland, was arrested by police on an outstanding Cuyahoga County attempted murder arrest warrant. He was arraigned in court and given a bond of $200,000.

Millcreek police identified Arneisha Holmes, 22, of Cleveland, as another suspect involved in the incident. Holmes was arrested and charged with one count of hindering apprehension, one count of aiding consumption of a crime, one count of receiving stolen property, one count of false reports to law enforcement, and one count of possession of controlled substance. 

Homes was also arraigned and given a $20,000 bond.
