'Brewnuts'? Craft beer-inspired donuts get their own storefront in Tremont

CLEVELAND - It’s a combination that should make your inner Homer Simpson drool: beer and donuts.

That’s what’s cooking in Tremont this weekend as Brewnuts opens doors at 2406 Professor Avenue at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 17.

The “already popular craft beer inspired donuts” have been sold at a variety of local shops but now, the co-owners have a place to call home.

It’s part of the Tremont Storefront Incubator Program, which includes three months of free rent and seven months of low rent.

Brewnuts will be open Saturday “until sold out” and generally on Wednesday through Sunday going forward with plans to cater to Tremont’s late evening crowd.

Co-owners Shelley Fasulko and John Pippin are members of the Cleveland Culinary Launch and Kitchen and graduates of the 2013 Fall Bad Girl Ventures class.
