CLEVELAND - The bomb squad was called to a house on Cleveland's west side during the arrest of a man on a parole violation.
The incident happened in the 2100 block of West 104 th Street on Monday.
The resident, who has previous convictions for arson, told officers he had guns in his home, which would be a violation of his probation. Cleveland Division of Fire spokesman Larry Gray said once in custody, the man informed him that his house was also booby-trapped.
That's when Cleveland police say the bomb squad was called in to investigation. The house was searched using police K-9s, but nothing was found. Police said the all-clear just before 5 p.m.
